Absence and Presence pencil on paper 2 drawings 40 x 30 cm “The void is always lived upon, navigated and known even as it remains unseen, unknown and underdefined.” (Emily McDaniel, curator of UTS exhibition “Void” 2018) Just off the Mount Clarence Granite Trail large boulders packed together are obscured by high trees. I have layered a series of hand cut stencils to define the absence and the presence based on compositions from the site. |
